Boyd Street Ventures Founder & General Partner James Spann continued to expand the firm’s reach this quarter through investor engagement and thought leadership:
Denver – Campden Wealth & IPI: James facilitated two roundtables focused on family office co-investment strategies and talent management in venture-backed companies. The sessions brought together leading family offices and institutional investors to discuss collaboration models, portfolio value creation, and the future of alternative investments.
NAIC Alternative Investment Forum: Engaged with institutional investors and peers, spotlighting BSV’s differentiated approach to venture investing and its growing national network.
At the same time, BSV continues to strengthen its ecosystem presence in Oklahoma. Progress on the Startup 405/C3 Accelerator/BSV Venture Studio building in Norman remains on track, with the facility set to house our new accelerator programming and expanded Venture Studio support. This space will anchor our long-term vision for regional innovation and entrepreneurship.
Dwain Celistan is a nationally recognized executive search leader and Managing Partner at DHR Global, where he heads the firm’s Global Diversity Practice. Over his career, he has placed hundreds of senior executives across Fortune 500 companies, private equity-backed firms, universities, and nonprofits — with more than 70% of his placements being diverse candidates, reflecting his deep commitment to inclusive leadership.
Before entering executive search, Dwain held senior leadership roles at Nestlé and Alcoa, bringing a wealth of operational and strategic expertise to his advisory work. He is also a published author and frequent speaker on leadership, DEI, and organizational performance.
At Boyd Street Ventures, Dwain serves as a Strategic Advisor, helping the firm and its portfolio companies strengthen their approach to talent, culture, and long-term value creation.
